Michele D. Hall was inducted into the prestigious MSBA Leadership Academy for their 2024-2025 Cohort. – Technologist

Brown, Goldstein & Levy attorney Michele D. Hall has been inducted into the Maryland State Bar Association (MSBA) Leadership Academy for the 2024-2025 cohort. The new inductees were celebrated at the academy’s opening dinner on Wednesday, August 14th.

The 12-month program is designed to help lawyers across the state enhance their leadership skills and provides opportunities for growth and future leadership roles within the MSBA.

Michele was selected for this prestigious program through a highly competitive application process that admits only 15 fellows each year. During their term, fellows attend MSBA events, develop and implement an original public service project, and participate in specialized training on public speaking, media relations, interview techniques, effective meeting management, budgeting, and related areas.

Through the Leadership Academy, Michele will also have the opportunity to build relationships with past Bar Presidents and current bar leaders, gaining deeper insights into the MSBA and the broader legal community. The connections fostered through this program will strengthen Michele’s ties with specialty bar associations, the MSBA, and the public.

Michele is thrilled to have been selected for this competitive program and looks forward to the opportunity to enhance her professional skills while collaborating with her fellow cohort members. She is committed to pursuing leadership and mentorship opportunities within the Maryland legal community.

Michele D. Hall joined Brown, Goldstein & Levy in October 2023. She previously served for five years as a public defender at the Maryland Office of the Public Defender. During her time at OPD, Michele worked as a trial and appellate attorney. As a trial attorney, Michele represented children in Prince George’s County charged in juvenile court and children charged as adults. As an appellate attorney, Michele worked on general criminal appeals and focused on statewide juvenile appellate strategy. She regularly argued before both the Appellate Court of Maryland and the Supreme Court of Maryland. In addition to her case work, Michele was an advocate for ending the school-to-prison pipeline.
