10 Best New Products at Costco in October – Technologist

It is no secret that money expert Clark Howard loves all things Costco. It is easy to see why with staples like their Tire Center and Optical Department as well as a constant array of new inventory.

As a superfan of Costco myself, I love walking through the store and discovering fresh, new products. Sometimes, these products are from top-name brands. Sometimes, they are from small, local companies. Regardless, it is all part of the fun.

New Products at Costco This Month

Each month, I will take a look at the newest Costco products. While the majority will be under $100, if I find a particularly good deal, I will let you know.

Remember: Costco products are not guaranteed to be there from month to month, so if you discover a new product that you can’t live without, be sure to snag it.

With Halloween happening now and the holidays up ahead, I am showcasing new items that would be perfect to snag now or give as a gift.

Yankee Candle, 6-pack

Why I chose this:

Around this time every year, Costco often sells a Yankee Candle six-pack, perfect for gift-giving or having a supply on hand. These signature candles are 4.3oz each, have a run time of approximately 18-30 hours, and are a premium soy-wax blend.

They are priced at $29.99 online, with shipping included, but in-club, they are $19.99, which is about $3.33 per candle.

Sharper Image Electric Smores Maker

Why I chose this:

As I turned the corner, this s’mores maker caught my eye. It comes with a built-in serving tray, which is pretty cool. It can be used indoors and contains dishwasher-safe parts to make cleanup a breeze. Oh yeah, it is flameless, which is a bonus.

Currently, it is available both in-club and online at $19.99.

Pop & Load Collapsible Laundry Basket (Single Pack)

Why I chose this:

When I saw this basket, I thought it would be perfect for people with limited space or living in an apartment. It features grip handles and I noticed how sturdy it is.

At $9.99 in the club, this a good deal, especially considering the size of the basket. The price online is $24.99, so I recommend grabbing it in the club.

Bluey My Size Shopping Set

Why I chose this:

Follow the parents! I saw a group of moms hanging out holding up a Bluey box and decided to come back when it got a little quieter in that area. Costco now sells a Bluey shopping cart set. Recommended for ages 3+, this cart features 22 shopping accessories, a shopping cart, and a cash register. Oh, and I can’t forget that Bluey and Bingo are inside as well.

This is selling for $56.99 online and $49.99 in-club which makes it a little more affordable and a perfect gift for the holidays. Bonus tip! If you buy it now and your child (or you) aren’t feeling it after the holidays, you can return it. Read all about Costco’s return policy here.

Home Essentials Serving Board 2 Piece

Why I chose this:

As I was perusing the store, I noticed this 8-piece serving set. It comes with 2 Acacia serving boards and six glass bowls. We throw a Halloween party every year for our family and friends, and my initial thought was how affordable they are and how they can be used repeatedly. The bowls are a little on the small side, but they are perfect for snacks and can be staggered at different ends of the tables. Needless to say, I grabbed them while I was there.

Currently, they are an in-club-only item coming in at $15.99 per box.

Nordic Ware Seasonal Bunt Pan

Why I chose this:

How cool is this? It’s a pan that allows you to make amazing winter designs like a snowy forest and a gingerbread house. It’s made from cast aluminum, oven-safe up to 400 degrees, and non-stick silicone on the inside. My only gripe with this is that it is hand-wash only, but that’s okay. With the non-stick, cleanup should be a breeze.

Unfortunately, though, this is a new item that is available in-club only. It costs $23.99. If you love to bake or know someone who does, grab it. I have a friend who is a serious baker, and this will make a great gift for her. I can’t name names, as I know she reads my articles.

Cirkul 22oz Bottle and Flavor Cartridge Kit

Why I chose this:

I have been seeing a lot of commercials and advertising for Cirkul. I am old school and drink plain water, but this piqued my interest. Costco is selling a kit allowing you to try this at an amazing price.

Good news and bad news though. The good news is that it is a steal at $19.97 vs $41.99 at Walmart. The bad news is that it ends in a .97 and has an asterisk on the tag. That means it will not be reordered.

This is only in-club as of now and may be gone soon. If you want to try this, now could be your chance.

Disney Animated Holiday Village with Lights and Music

Why I chose this:

As I was checking out the plethora of holiday items at Costco, it was a little overwhelming (in a good way) — Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas all in the span of 2 aisles. I was immediately drawn to a Christmas song playing from this Disney holiday village.

This village features all of our friends, including Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Winnie the Pooh, Dumbo, Tigger, and more! There are multiple modes for enjoyment, ranging from a timer that can be set for 6 hours on and 18 hours off, along with a mode with animation, but without sound. It is recommended for indoor use only.

It costs $139.99 online or $129.99 in-club. Usually, I don’t recommend purchasing online due to the markup, but this does include shipping. When I picked up the box, it did have some weight to it, and the $10 difference is more than justified here.

Igloo KoolTunes Bluetooth Speaker Cooler

I owe all the credit on this one to Grace at Team Clark. Grace was at her local Costco and noticed how cool it was. I agree! This cooler can hold 14 quarts and has two built-in Bluetooth speakers. It is water—and dust-resistant and can play up to 10 hours of audio on a single charge.

The cooler is going for $79.99 online after a $20.00 manufacturer’s saving, which ends soon, and it is $59.99 in-club. I mentioned this a month or two ago sometimes different clubs sell different variations of products. Grace from Team Clark shared with me a pic from her store in Georgia, and they had these in blue. My club here in New York only had them in red. It pays to give your store a call with the item number, and they can tell you the supply at other nearby clubs.

Mrs. Meyers Holiday Hand Soap

Why I chose this:

My club did not have these yet, but they are available online. The last time I talked about these in another variation, people emailed me to thank me for the heads-up. When I saw these online as a new item for October, I had to include them.

You will receive (4) 16-oz pump bottles of hand soap. Mrs. Meyers never uses parabens or artificial colors and this soap is derived from plant-based ingredients. It is perfect to grab now and start using right away or hold it for the holidays. Scents include peppermint, Iowa pine, snowdrop, and gingerbread.

They are $24.99 online, and if I had to guess, they would be a little cheaper in-club. If you are a fan of Mrs. Meyers or looking for fun holiday soaps, check this out.
